NO CLAIMS AFTER INSTALLATION

Upon receipt of your order, verify that the goods are as selected and that the quality, colour, appearance, sizing and grading are acceptable. Installation of your tiles constitutes acceptance of the goods. Claims regarding these items cannot be accepted after installation & must be within 30 days of purchase date. Global industry standards are strictly no claims after installation.

It is the responsibility of the tiler under management of the builder or homeowner to check tiles before laying them. We strongly recommend dry laying a minimum of 3-4m2 of material on the ground, taking tiles from several boxes. If there is any concern, DO NOT INSTALL and contact Tiles on Devon immediately so that we may investigate further. If a defect is discovered while the tiles are being laid, work must stop immediately.

DAMAGES

Within 72 hours of receiving your goods, please check your order for damages and immediately notify Tiles on Devon of breakages. Please provide photos of the damage and the packaging. We will not entertain claims for damage to goods whilst in the care and control of freight companies or third parties – unless directly due to inadequate packaging by Tiles on Devon. In the event of our fault we will arrange for replacements to be provided and will request the damaged tiles be returned to us.

SHADE & SIZE VARIATION

Due to manufacturing processes there can be variations in colour and shade from samples taken. Sizing is indicated as a nominal size and actual sizes can vary +/- 5mm different between batches and manufacturers. Never assume exact size of tiles, a 600×600 and 600×600 wall may not necessarily line up. If mixing tiles, compatibility should be confirmed prior to purchase.

GRADING

Tiles on Devon only sell 1st grade tiles from reputable suppliers who implement extensive quality control measures in order to meet high quality standards. As such our tiles should comply with the technical requirements and tolerances outlined in the International Grading Standards ISO 13006. This international standard outlines the variances customers may expect to appearance and surface.

QUANTITIES

It is the purchasers responsibility to ensure you have enough tiles to complete your area. Best practice is to ensure your installer check measures quantities by a physical site measure prior to placing your order. Ensure you include a percentage for waste. We cannot guarantee further supply of the same batch / product. We recommend you retain additional tiles in case they are required in the future.

ESTIMATES

Our staff can estimate quantities required for your tiling project. These calculations will be based on the plans or measurements provided and are our best estimate only and should be verified by an onsite measure before ordering. We accept no liability if you run short or have left overs.
Estimates & Quotes will remain valid for 21 Days.

TILE SELECTION

Whilst the Tiles on Devon staff may assist with and advise you in the selection of goods, it is the purchasers responsibility to ensure that the goods are suitable for the purpose they are being used for and that they comply with relevant regulations and requirements.

HOLDS

We are able to put tiles on hold with our suppliers for a maximum of 7 days. If the tiles need to be held for any longer than this, then a 20% non-refundable deposit is required to be a confirmed order waiting on final quantities and date.

RETURNS

We are unable to accept Tile returns. Under the Consumers Guarantee Act there is no obligation to accept returns or provide a refund if you have changed your mind about a purchase or have excess stock, so please choose carefully.

For other products, we will credit within 30 days of purchase date provided they are in saleable condition and accompanied by the original purchase invoice. This is a firm policy, so please don’t ask outside this 30-day period or without an original invoice as our refusal may offend. Special buy in orders, end of lines, indent orders, sale and specially priced items are not returnable.

INSTALLERS

Upon request, we can provide a list of local trades persons/installers. Tiles on Devon have no responsibility for the quality of work of any trades person installing your product. It is best practice for you to seek references or inspect a current job to ensure you are satisfied with their standard of workmanship prior to engaging their services.

CREDIT CARD SURCHARGE

A 2% surcharge will apply to all credit card payments. Alternatively, you may like to pay by cash, eftpos or bank transfer which will not incur a surcharge.

STORAGE

Our space is limited, please uplift your order as soon as you can. A storage fee may be charged on orders not uplifted within 30 days. Orders held for over 6 months will become property of Tiles on Devon, unless prior approval in writing.

OWNERSHIP

All goods remain the property of Tiles on Devon until paid for in full.

OVERDUE ACCOUNTS

Will incur interest at 2.5% per month and any debt collection costs.

10 YEAR WARRANTY

 

Here at Tiles on Devon we realise that selecting tiles is a big decision and to give you confidence in your purchase, every tile purchased from Tiles on Devon carries a 10-year tile quality guarantee, when installed in accordance with BRANZ good tiling practice, manufacturer’s instructions and guidelines, and relevant New Zealand building standards. We guarantee that our tiles will meet or exceed the performance standards outlined in ISO 3006. Our guarantee covers the performance of tiles from date of purchase.

Guarantee covers replacement of the product, or similar Tiles on Devon Tile at a similar price, if original is no longer available. The Tiles on Devon guarantee only relates to the tiles. Our guarantee does not extend to claims that arise from installation or the quality of the Installation. 

Tiles on Devon is not liable for any loss of profits or consequential damages, and the guarantee is non-transferable and cannot be assigned.

This guarantee does not extend to defects or excessive wearing caused by abuse, misuse, improper installation, or cleaning with abrasive or corrosive cleaners. The Tiles on Devon guarantee becomes null and void if the tiles are installed onto an unsuitable substrate or in a location or manner that in any way contributes to the tile failing. The correct adhesives and grouts must be used for the tile installation.

We will assist in the selection of tiles for the correct area. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to ensure that the tiles selected comply with all relevant building legislation. When purchasing frost resistant tiles, this guarantee will be voided if tiles are used over Butynol Waterproofing Membranes. All waterproofing membranes must be tile specific as stated in “good tiling practice” guidelines.

The Consumer Guarantee Act 1993 sets out minimum standards for goods sold in New Zealand. In the event that goods sold are not of good quality or are faulty, the customer has the right to a repair, replacement or a refund.
